Executive Search
Our recruiting efforts fit seamlessly with our client’s internal processes and align with their organizational strategies. We provide our clients with well-placed, top-quality candidates by way of the following services:
- Conduct meetings with our client’s senior leadership & search team to determine their vision for, expectations of, and commitment to the recruiting efforts.
- Set clear expectations for all search stakeholders from the beginning of the search by leveraging a Statement of Work that includes a service level agreement, competitor and target research, a sample candidate matrix, timeline, key deliverable dates, rewritten job description, and interview questionnaire.
- Identify a target market for pursuing candidates with the appropriate skill mix and educational background.
- Conduct candidate screening, behavioral interviews, reference, background, and financial checks, and I/O psychology analysis.
- Present detailed interview results in matrix form on each candidate to narrow the field to the top finalists.
- Assist in determining job offers, including salary negotiations, benefits, and commencement dates.
- Utilize an I/O psychologist to onboard and integrate the hired candidate into their new position through their first year of employment to maximize their effectiveness

As a dynamic and energetic leader with a track record of executive leadership and a keen focus on building critical school systems, Dr. Mullins is proud to have served in Brevard County, FL, by bringing stability as a leader in the organization since 2000 and as Superintendent since 2018. Brevard Public Schools is Florida’s 11th-largest school district and the 51st-largest in the United States. As Superintendent, Dr. Mullins increased graduation rates from 88.1% in 2018 to 90.6% in 2021. He also increased graduation rates in all subgroups from 2018 to 2021: a 5.8% increase for Exceptional Student Education students, a 7.2% increase for African American students, a 2.7% increase for Hispanic students, & a 4.1% increase for Economically Disadvantaged students. Most impressively, the overall district-wide achievement in 2022 returned to pre-pandemic levels compared to 2018.
As an Executive Search Consultant for Spirit Consulting, Dr. Mullins can positively impact public school systems throughout the U.S., leveraging the wisdom he gained during his 29-year public school administrator career. Dr. Mullins furthered his operational expertise by obtaining a Doctorate and Master of Education from the University of Central Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education from Florida State University.
