As part of Spirit Consulting’s ongoing relationship with Duke University Health System, the company filled yet another HR Generalist position—this time for Duke Health Private Diagnostic Clinic (PDC). Spirit Consulting is really getting good at these types of opportunities! This was the first job client managed and recruited by Spirit Consulting’s Principal—James Malik. Thankfully, because he was surrounded by such a great team—especially two outstanding hiring managers in Jennifer Duerr, CHRO and Dr. Katherine Jordan, ADHR—Malik was able to hire the right candidate in under 50 days after having sourced hundreds of qualified candidates for the position. The Duke PDC hired Samantha Seely, PHR, SHRM-CP for the Human Resources Generalist position.
In addition to her dual Human Resources certification, Seely holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Elementary Education from Wilkes University and a Corporate Communications Certificate from Arcadia University. She brings nearly 10 years of HR experience and expertise with her to her new role with Duke PDC. She spent five years with Drug Safety Alliance, Inc. (now Ashfield Pharmacovigilance) before her last four years of experience with Coldwell Banker Howard Perry & Watson. She will undoubtedly draw on her work experience and education to help meet the growing demands of one of the top academic health practices in the country.
The Private Diagnostic Clinic at Duke University Health System is the independent, multi-specialty physician practice of Duke Health and is focused on providing the highest quality services to its 1,750 physician members and their patients. Founded in 1931, the PDC is one of the first and largest faculty practices in the United States.
Spirit Consulting shares the excitement at the decision to hire Samantha and we eager to see how Samantha will flourish in her new role and positively impact the many lives touched by Duke PDC. Seely was specifically chosen based on her experience and cultural fit with the Duke PDC HR Department. The Duke PDC is growing rapidly—as it is set to hire over 1,300 employees in the next year. The addition of Seely to the expanding Human Resources department need to accommodate such wonderful growth will be instrumental to ensuring proper policy and seamless transition within the organization.
